PTR 3.1 is up. Unfortunately all copy queues are currently full on the U.S. side. I am downloading the 100 MB client in the background as I type. A whole a lot of changes for just about every class. The big one, duel spec, will cost a whooping 1,000 gold. Well, it is tax season and blizzard has to get their share.

That's awesome! How did you manage to get in the PTR? Every time I go out there, it says it's not available.
You need to download a new client then copy your character over to PTR. Takes a while as copy queue gets filled in no time.
Not too sure i will enable this on my hunter. As it is my respec cost is 10g now, i just can't see respecing so many more times that i'll go over 1000g. For a tank or a healer, yeah, it makes alot of sense, but right now, i'm happy with my spec.
I would like to have a PvP spec on Meta since I do so much WG. But again, money can probably be better spent on my other alts for epic flying etc.
I'm curious how this will impact the heroics and raiding. Will we see a flood of new tanks and healers?
I don't think we will see more tanks or healers. People don't want to tank or heal because they don't like having additional responsibilities. This is not going to change because you can have more than 1 spec.
When Blizzard introduced DK they were hoping it will alleviate the tanks shortage. Instead doing that you now have 3 DPS DKS sitting in LFG for a healer and a tank.
The only want healer/tank shortage will go away is for blizzard to produce additional incentives for tanking/healing. Until then all these major will help but not solve the tank/healer shortage.
